Band of Horses Live on
Our own video stream was along this morning due to technical issues, so this is the first chance to notice video of Band of Mounts rockin’ our studios. It’s definitely any session worth revisiting within our archives – the guys were using a TON of fun. Fresh off of a two week break through touring, a rarity just for this band, they definitely seemed excited to be playing together again. It was a scaled down collection with no drummer because Creighton Baett had been at a skateboarding contest regarding some kind. It highlighted frontman Benjamin Bridwell’s vocals, and his harmonies with keyboardist Jones Monroe, which were gorgeous.
The band went through a lot of changes as well as Bridwell says that on their latest album, Infinite Arms, “everyone experienced their hand in the pie” whenever it came to songwriting. He named it a “coming out party” for this brand-new band.
New members include Tyler Ramsey, who put out an excellent solo lp called “A Long Dream About Swimming Across the Sea,” and striped bass player Bill Reynolds, who created the new album from Lissie, “Catching a Tiger,” which we’re playing a lot. One of the highlights was experiencing the new crew take on “Zero One’s Going to Love You,” a new highlight off of BOH’s 3 years ago album “Cease to Exist” — all of the ladies in the studio had been swooning.
