Today’s wedding is so lovely. It was photographed by Jesse Leake and took place in Hailey, Los angeles. Most of the wedding was designed by the bride, Jennifer. The venue is so gorgeous as well as the details are so perfect for the rustic location. Thanks for letting me discuss your work Jesse!

Today’s creativity is from another favorite movie of my very own from 2009, (400) Days of Summer. The film is about Tom, an unsuccessful architect who constitutes a living by composing cards and Summer season, a free-spirited secretary. Tom believed in the traditional circumstances, destiny, true love package deal while Summer is very skeptical about adore. It’s about the Five-hundred days of their connection.
There are lots of great elements to incorporate from the movie. I love the vintage-inspired clothing collection, the downtown Chicago location, and Tom’utes love of architecture.

I picture a new rooftop wedding in town with lots of little white lights. Pops associated with blue color – which includes a vintage blue costume for the bride. Expect Hanafin, the costume designer for the film, opt for the color blue just as one accent and I adore that idea. Desire said it was the particular romance from a male level of view. Even when you first see Summertime, she has on a bright shirt, but still has a new blue butterfly. So it paths all the way through. I just wanted there becoming a way to make the girl stand out. She gets a magnet. The only various other place blue is utilized is the dance string, after Tom’s first night time with Summer. The whole planet would turn into the woman’s, so that’s what everyone is throughout blue in that arena — the construction workers, the particular mailmen, the office workers. Every thing becomes kind of a reflection of the love for her. What a best metaphor for a bride.
Another element that I consider would be fun to incorporate is the use of a new chalkboard (Tom had a chalkboard wall in their apartment). And the night would end with many karaoke – maybe even a Corridor & Oates dance number

. You make my dreams come true…

Today’s wedding is so sweet and has lots of incredible details. Just hold off until you see the wedding ceremony backdrop! Aimee + Colin were hitched at the incredible Condors Nest Ranch in North San Diego. The beautiful digital photography is by Colleen Sherman Photography.
The particular bridesmaids dresses are from Anthropologie, and their sashes were created by Aimee. Aimee’s dress is Jenny Lee.
From Ashlyn of Carter and Prepare food, There wedding had been Anthropologie inspired and a ideal fit for the Rnch. Colin and his family constructed the wood composition that framed the ceremony our of weathered wood and also old glass windows. It made for the perfect backdrop!
The locale is filled with unique and delightful locations such as a classic green house, big red-colored barn, stables to feed horses, a large single story rnch house, and job areas upon fields regarding rolling hills. Throughout cocktail hour, invitee were able to go pet the goats, pigs along with horses you find for the property, take entertaining photos near the barn, and sign a huge outdated piece of wood that Aimee will add fun knobs and grow a coat rack because of their new home. It also constitutes a great location for several amazing portraits!
Outdated shutters, books, fresh and refined peaches and an assortment of beautiful glass filled vases with wildflowers lined the long tables. Aimee has been the poster child to the ultimate DIY bride. She made desk runners, collected all of the shutters, and textbooks. Each guest could take home a container of Aimee’s selfmade peach jam. Every place setting a variety of old silverware, and different china. The idea gave such an contemporary, and homey sense to the tables. Visitors enjoyed shirley temples beyond mason jars, and also were served any delicious BBQ evening meal.

In summary of Oscar week at Green Wedding Shoes, I thought I’d share some of my favorites from the Red Carpet tonight. I love seeing exactly what the stars wear around the Red Carpet. In 2010, I was drawn to each of the peach + blush colors. So pretty as well as feminine. Anna will be wearing Elie Saab and Miley cyrus is wearing a lovely Jenny Packham gown (I think I want that dress!!). Cameron used a gorgeous glittery Oscar signifiant la Renta gown – and look for her super nicely toned arms!
I also adored the pretty Elie Saab dress Rachel McAdams wore – the watercolor print was stunning. But I think my favorite gown with the night went to the astounding Chanel gown Diane Kruger was putting on. I love the dark-colored and blush color combo and all the various textures. Not everyone could pull that dress off, but she did and oh-so-well. What did you guys consider. Did you have a favourite? Find any motivation on the red carpeting for your wedding gown?

The actual Viceroy Palm Springs can be such a great place for the destination wedding. The boutique resort + health spa designed in a modern decryption of the Hollywood Regency design, it’s convenient to L . a . and San Diego, nevertheless far away to think that you are really away for the weekend. If you are looking for a place where the likes of Joe Sinatra and his rat pack slept back in the day, the Viceroy will be your place. A modern color palette of yellow, white and black is seen throughout the lodge designs. Today, I’mirielle sharing even more beautiful photos of the lodge by Jose Villa coming from my stay their particular a few weeks ago…
There are two varieties of hotel rooms, my favorite rooms are the bungalows. Each bungalow has its own fireplace, perfect yellow-colored chairs, modern art work, and some even have their particular kitchen – perfect for getting set the day of the marriage ceremony – or a great place to get a bachelorette party!
You’ll find 3 pools ideal for relaxing the day before wedding ceremony – or the day after. The resort is also within walking distance to be able to downtown Palm Spgs so your guests will be close for you to lots of activities – even though I prefer just going out by the pool
There are lots of excellent spaces on the residence for the ceremony, tropical drink hour, and the wedding party. I love how every single area is so distinctive and can be furnished in a different way to really to your wedding day. When we are there, Erin Chaney (the Catering Sales director) organized a wonderful FAM therefore we could get a better concept how each room could be used. Erin and also Diego Heredia (the General Manager) were our hosting companies for the evening plus they really couldn’t have been any nicer. I’ve no doubts you are in good arms with them helping to organize your day!
Here is wherever we had our dinner. Such a lovely night time outside under the hands + stars! Oh, and the food – yum! They use organic, natural, and in season items when possible.
You can find lemon + lime trees all around the property – it’s so pretty! And also our evening concluded with a fun photobooth produced by Alison Events + Brown Cardstock Design.
And you have to see this amazing super Eight film from the so sweet and skilled Joel Serrato. It was fantastic to finally meet Joel in person along with I’ve confirmed you’ll want to have him film your own event. Check out the FAM captured by Joel.

Thanks a great deal for all your wonderful video suggestions this week! I needed such a fun moment reading through all your tips. And the good news can be since these posts are already so popular, I’m intending to make this a monthly attribute!
Today, though I’mirielle sharing a much requested and one of my all-time favorite movies, Amélie. Amélie is really a whimsical French film about a shy waitress, enjoyed by the beautiful Audrey Tautou, which decides to change the lives of those around her for your better – and ends up falling in love. It takes place in Montmartre, Italy + was nominated for 5 Academy Awards in 2001 including Best Art work Direction.
sources: Amélie movie, knitalatte, Max Wanger, Amélie movie, motley handmade, flagrante delicia, Our Labor of Love, Amélie movie, Max Wanger
One of my most favorite aspects of the movie is the using color. Lots of vivid reds, greens, as well as blues. I think that could make a great color scheme. Amelie loved the simple points in life, such as cracking crème brûlée with a teaspoon along with skipping stones across St. Martin’s Channel. I think these could be so fun to feature into your day: little heart shaped crème brûlée pertaining to dessert, stones protected in lace along with red fabric while ceremony decor. A bright red bridal gown for a wedding outdoors with lots of greenery. A lot of fun, whimsical factors throughout the day.
The wedding party would take place by a carousal. Love letters the bride + groom wrote to one another would hang through colorful clothespins. And of course a picture booth to get all your guests and make your very own photo guide from the day. Amelie locates an an old metallic box of child years memorabilia hidden by the boy who lived in her own apartment decades previous. It would be so entertaining to create your own period capsule from the big day and hide for someone else to find years afterwards. The bride and groom leave for their honeymoon vacation on a motorbike.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to go to the Viceroy Palm Springs to the weekend. Be sure to visit tomorrow to see images of the gorgeous house by the one and only Jose Villa! Today, though, I own a fun tablescape that several wonderful, creative suppliers put together to show as one example of what could be done with the attractive outdoor event room.
Kelsey from Alison Events as well as Danielle of Brown Cardstock Design were your creative minds behind this fun stand. The Viceroy has a very mid-century modern look, with a color scheme centered around whites along with blacks with splashes regarding yellow. They thought it would be fun to play away that color scheme, but also add in a number of flirty, playful touches too. From Danielle, We were genuinely inspired by Kate Spade’utes current campaign. There is a thing so fun and lighthearted, yet still very modern about the woman’s ad’s lately. We planned to bring that experience to the Viceroy and considered doing such a brilliant palette would be a tad unexpected bride’s considering Viceroy. Sort of a end of the week escape wedding. Beautiful photos below simply by Jose Villa.
We had your cutest guest stop by! Another great thing in regards to the Viceroy Palm Springs – they may be a dog friendly resort, so you can have your pup there for your wedding day.
And such a creative idea for that place card desk! From Danielle, because of the temperature of Palm Springs- cloth flowers seemed like an extremely great way to bring in plenty of saturated color without needing to worry about things collapsing in the heat. It turned out a lot of work to create those flowers, but I think it really extra a nice tactile effect. And they are great memento’s of your wedding.
Thanks everybody for sharing your opinions with us! Check back tomorrow to see more from your Viceroy Palm Springs – which include a great super 8-10 film from Fran!
